Do You Have What it Takes
to be a Bavarian Princess?
As the next Bavarian Festival Princess, you'll have the opportunity to represent the Frankenmuth community at many events across Michigan. Did we mention you get to wear a dirndl while doing it? If this sounds like you, apply below.
As an impending high school graduate (or equivalent) who lives in the Frankenmuth School District or graduated from Frankenmuth High School, we are excited to extend this application to you.
Please complete the application and additional paperwork and return it no later than March 1st, 2024.
Being a Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival Princess is not only an honor and a privilege but also carries considerable responsibility. You will be representing the people of Frankenmuth at many functions throughout the state during the entire year following coronation in June. This will include appearances during the weekend of the Bavarian Festival, but also events such as the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Holland Tulip Festival and many others. In addition,
events in Frankenmuth, such as Oktoberfest and Zehnder’s Snowfest are among the most important.

Most of the activities are scheduled for weekends and are considered mandatory. On the other hand, any additions to this schedule are not, but are highly recommended. Please make sure you consult with your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before committing to the application process, as they will play a large role in your activities. There will be a meeting scheduled following the Tea for the three chosen women and their parent(s) or legal guardian(s).

The Civic Events Council and the Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival and Princess Program also recognize the time and dedication the Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival Princess Court gives during their reign. This time is especially important because you will be attending school. This is why educational scholarships are offered for all three court members.

The preliminary judging segment of this competition is called the Princess Tea and will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 in the Swiss Rooms at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant, at 10:00 am. The judges will use this opportunity to become acquainted with the candidates before selecting the three finalists through an interviewing process. In addition, you will also be judged on the basis of your personality, poise, professional appearance, and knowledge of Frankenmuth.

The final judging portion takes place before the Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival. There will be three, third party dignitaries from the surrounding areas that form the judge’s panel. The candidates will continue to be judged on the basis of personality, poise, professional appearance, and knowledge of Frankenmuth.
We thank you in advance for your time and commitment and wish you the best!
